Hello! I'm The Hermit Troll, a lover of stories, writer and gamer.

I'm sure the name at first glance may lead people to relate this to meaning "internet troll", someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, but I assure you I am not of the sort. I speak merely fantastical here. The mythical creatures who live under bridges, in swamps, forests, mountains; anywhere Trolls make their homes. I'm not sure why I like them so much, but I think they are great! And as part of my personality I am an extreme introvert to the point of bordering on being a hermit, thus the name The Hermit Troll.


Here in my blog I like to write book reviews. I'm relatively new at it, so they may not be very professional, but I try to stay away from writing spoilers and basically I write about what I thought about the book how it made me feel. I do this because I HATE reading reviews wanting to know what to expect and then have a major part of the story spoiled for me. Unless it's a reviewer/blogger who I know I can trust, I don't read reviews of a book on forums or websites anymore until after I finished reading the book.

What I like to do the most during my free time is read and write. I am married and have a daughter so now I am finding it more difficult spend as much time as I used to reading but that's okay too, because I love them both immensely. When I am reading it's mostly fantasy, young adult and children's literature because I find it the most fun and relaxing. I have a soft spot for YA and Children's books because I'm a big kid myself. I've been dreaming within a world of fairy tales for as long as I can remember and there is nothing like a good story to lose yourself to.
